The Last Lightbearer tells the story of a world at it's end, prophesied to have been saved nearly three centuries ago by it's savior, the Lightbearer, who never appeared, allowing demons from an unknown world run rampant, leaving a path of destruction in their wake as corruption, an incurable plague, spreads across the earth.

I have a theory about this actually, my conclusion in the dlc of the happy ending that Nick got when he killed himself in the bathtub thats what starts off the dlc, and my very best guess is he was stuck in purgatory being judged, how i figured this out after spending a few days wondering myself about this dlc and comparing it to the sidequest.Īnd how i have figured this out is throughout the dlc Nick had to face several of his personal demons of one of which him not accepting that he is foggy jack, until the end of the dlc where he managed to overcome his dark side and finally ascends up into the afterlife, why did we see him knocked out on the floor and why the people had his mustache this is more than likely be a memory of Nick getting arrested after they caught him, the mustaches on all of them this could just be a joke and not have some deep meaning to it, then after he got out of jail and locked down his entire home realizing his life has gone to shit and lost his fans and murdered his friend Virgil in cold blood he thought that the only way out is suicide, now what set Nick off to begin with to murder Virgil thats what im trying to figure out.Ĭould be a joy overdosage that had a part in the murders but my guess is that Virgil said something that Nick didnt want to hear so in built up rage pulls out the nearest object which is the butcherknife and start hacking away at him, now the other murders i honestly have no clue why ge did what he did but its more than likey a joy overdose and him blacking out which like i said could have also set him off to kill his friend Virgil.A tale of a world where the hero is already too late to save it.
